My artwork is articulated from painting.
Nature as a referent and landscape as a pictorial resource in order to represent a world that does not exist. A space between the limits of what is real, where an inner world becomes present and opposed realities coexist.
I work landscapes since I have reached the conclusion that experiences, events lived, become isolated in our memory and somehow form our thoughts and our being. The place where we have lived, the place where we come from, their smells, their images, what we feel, leave a particular mark, and a way of looking at the world. They create a first referral, and from here is where we build our history from.
Landscapes appeared in my work from the first moment since I have always been captivated by the relationship of the human being with the nature. The spiritual dimension that yields hidden behind its visual appearance gets me over and over.
To me, it is a mystery I want to interpret over and over again.
What we do not see, but we do perceive. That space/time where silence inhabits and occurs. Where our soul becomes present. And the human being is perceived submerged.
With the introduction of thread in 2015, my paintings extend towards another dimension and the need of experimenting with our materials becomes more than evident. Sawn cloths, embroidered on paint, painted papers, cut and glued back on canvas, sawn or not.
Deconstruction and construction.
I sense my creative process active, and in constant change.
Mi trabajo se articula principalmente desde la pintura.
La naturaleza como referente y el paisaje como recurso pictórico para representar un mundo que no existe. Un espacio entre los límites de lo real, donde el mundo interior se hace presente y realidades opuestas conviven mutuamente.
Trabajo el paisaje porque he llegado a la conclusión de que las experiencias, los acontecimientos vividos se quedan anidados en nuestra memoria y de alguna manera conforman nuestro pensamiento y nuestra forma de ser. El lugar en el que hemos vivido, el lugar de dónde venimos, con sus olores, sus imágenes, sus sensaciones, nos deja una marca peculiar y determinada de mirar el mundo. Nos crea un primer referente, y a partir de aquí, construimos nuestra historia.
El paisaje apareció en mi obra desde el primer momento porque la relación del ser humano con la naturaleza siempre me ha cautivado. La dimensión espiritual que yace oculta tras su apariencia visual me atrapa una y otra vez.
Para mí, es un misterio que quiero interpretar una y otra vez.
Lo que no vemos, pero percibimos. Ese espacio/tiempo donde habita y ocurre el silencio. Donde nuestra alma se hace presente. Y el ser humano se percibe sumergido.
Con la introducción del hilo en 2015, la pintura se extiende hacia otra dimensión y la necesidad de experimentar con otros materiales se hace más que evidente. Telas cosidas, bordadas sobre pintura, papel pintado, cortado y vuelto a pegar sobre telas, cosida o no.

Percibo mi proceso creativo, activo, y en constante cambio.
